Government Action

Government Action
AIA has supported free and fair trade since its 1981 founding. In 2002, AIA became a Segment of AAIA – the established government affairs leader for protecting aftermarket interests. Today AIA continues to monitor and advocate on legislative and regulatory issues that are difficult for our members to weigh in on a daily basis. We work to advance and support issues of interest to AIA members:

AIA Member Testimonial

“If you need but one reason to join our association this would be it. AIA recognized and responded effectively to the threats posed by issues such as ‘domestic content’ and predatory pricing. My decision to support these sentinels of our industry by becoming a member of the association was an easy one. A key reason AIA joined with AAIA was their effective presence on The Hill. Not only does our combined association protect against irresponsible government legislation, but has indeed taken a proactive stance in the forms of Right to Repair legislation, association health plans, free trade agreements and anti-counterfeiting measures. If you’re wondering why you should belong to the association you need look no further than the folks who are guarding your interests while enhancing our industry. Supporting the people who support your interests is not only being responsible for your business, but it’s also the right thing to do.”

-W. Michael Brown, Past AIA Chairman (Olympus Imported Auto Parts)
