QUALITY ASSURANCE
The National Catalog Managers Association
(NCMA) has developed a set of Quality Assurance Guidelines to
encourage each NCMA member to establish a quality assurance system
within their own catalog department. When followed, this system will
help ensure accurate and up-to-date information is being provided to
your customers as quickly as possible. The intention of these
guidelines is to educate you on what you should be doing, not
dictate how you should do it.
The NCMA Quality Assurance Guidelines consist
of two main elements, Quality Assurance Practices and
Quality Assurance Documents. Quality Assurance Practices
are the day-to-day routines you should be doing. Quality Assurance
Documents are the written procedures and various forms, logs and
sign-off sheets to help you manage your Quality Assurance
Practices.
