AAIA Green Story Receives Platinum AVA Award
BETHESDA, MD – January 23, 2012 – The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) has been notified that its Automotive Aftermarket’s Green Story video has received a Platinum Award from the International AVA Awards competition judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
AVA Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding work by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of media. There were approximately 1,700 entries from throughout the U.S. and several other countries. AVA’s Platinum Award is presented to those entries judged to be among the most outstanding submissions in the competition.
The Automotive Aftermarket’s Green Story video was designed to build greater awareness of the industry’s extensive contributions to a cleaner environment and is part of AAIA’s initiative, “Driving Toward a Cleaner Environment: The Automotive Aftermarket’s Green Story.” It explains the aftermarket’s contributions to better gas mileage, less energy consumption and cleaner air and displays how the aftermarket has for decades practiced sustainability when performing routine maintenance. The aftermarket’s common practices of recycling used oil, batteries, tires, chemicals and fluids, and practicing new energy savings are illustrated.
Along with a portfolio and snapshot, the video is helping AAIA tell the automotive aftermarket’s green story to legislators, Wall Street analysts, consumers, the media, trade associations, school career counselors and aftermarket industry leaders and employees.
